2021 Surcharge

Dear valued customer,

As you are likely aware, the global post-pandemic shortage of materials and electronic components is causing significant price, allocation, and delivery challenges across many industries. 

Many of these materials, including copper, aluminum, and polymers, as well as electronic components like microprocessors are essential to the production of Kollmorgen motion solutions.

With a commitment to ensuring a reliable supply of products to our customers, Kollmorgen has paid steadily-increasing premiums since late 2020 to an ever-expanding range of suppliers. This approach has been necessary to prioritize orders and to expedite production and delivery in the face of intense competition for limited supplies.

While Kollmorgen has absorbed these escalating costs to date to insulate our customers from the impact, we now need your partnership. Effective April 23, 2021, we will administer a temporary surcharge of 3% on all products we ship. Kollmorgen will invoice the 3% surcharge on each shipment, whether or not a surcharge is listed on the purchase order.  This surcharge will remain in effect until further notice. 

Our procurement and manufacturing teams are responding with urgency in this challenging time, actively pursuing options for mitigating the impact of continued shortages and for minimizing the time the surcharge remains in place. We’ll communicate updates to you as they arise.
